March 11th Hobbs MS Symphonic Band MPA Itinerary
Parents – We really need as many of you who can be at FWBHS auditorium (400 Hollywood Blvd., 32548) at 2:30 p.m. on the 11th to support our young musicians! Please try to make arrangements to be there. Hope to see you in the audience!
Parent chaperons have been selected and contacted in advance by Mr. Colón
Report to school wearing full Symphonic Uniform. Boys - Solid black shoes and black socks, girls – solid dark shoes (flats for comfort). *Everyone bring a boxed or sack lunch for the day. Snacks and water will also be provided on buses for free.
2nd Period Bell - All Symphonic students report to the band room in full uniform for final rehearsal.
10:30 -11:15 – Everyone use rest rooms and put music into designated music boxes. Load large instruments into equipment truck. Percussion is responsible for all mallets, sticks and small items used for performance. If you are being picked up at FWBHS, bring your backpack to your seat. All others leave backpack in storage rooms.
11:20 – Everyone in your seat. Call roll before loading buses. Belongings/backpacks in band storage rooms if being picked up at Hobbs. If at FWBHS pickup, have at your seat. Final check for all equipment, music and roll call.
11:30 - Leave HMS. Start eating your packed lunch before 12:30. Snacks and water will be provided on the buses for free.
1:00 – Arrive at Ft. Walton Beach HS. Unload buses with chaperons for use of restrooms.
1:15 – Unload all large equipment. Percussion stay with truck dads and your equipment.
1:30 - Woodwinds and brass - Line up for ready area.
2:00 – Enter Warm Up area for warm up and tuning.
2:30 – Perform on stage!!!
3:00 – Enter Sight Reading room. Sight Read!
3:30 – Exit sight reading to buses and wait for results.
3:30 – Time for parent pick-up for those at FWBHS. (see bottom of this form)
3:40 – Buses exit FWBHS for Hobbs. Snacks and water will still be available on buses.
5:00 – Arrive @ Hobbs MS. (those riding back on buses, based on bottom of this form)
Parents – Remember on the blue form you checked one option that was below: Pick up at FWBHS at 3:30 OR at Hobbs by 5:00 p.m. Thanks!
